How Privacy Works on OurHive

You choose what others see

Your profile shows what you put on it. In the directory, other members see only what you chose to share. You can change it any time, and the change takes effect right away.

No maps or distances

OurHive never shows where a member lives or how far away anyone is.

Direct contact needs both people

Anyone in a room can read that room. Contact details between two members are shared only when both of them agree.

Rooms stay separate

What you post in a room is seen by the people in that room. Hive Assistant follows the same rule: it answers you only from rooms you can see.

What the organization sees

In a verified community, only the organization's staff see its member list, including who on it has joined. Admins who run the community day to day never see the list. The organization also chooses how much of the conversation it sees. The default is nothing.

Reports go to the admins privately, never back into the room.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data or the organization's member list. We don't run background checks. OurHive is a place to talk, and members decide who they spend time with, the same as they would in person.

You can delete your account at any time.
